Animal Print Brims

These, the Animal Style snapbacks, have eight different designs printed on the snapback brim. Here are the various kinds, so you will never mix them again! Featured above on a Florida Gators snapback hat is the design called 'Tribal,' which mimics tribe-like markings. Left, the brim design called 'Cheetah,' is what it is: Cheetah markings. This is featured on other teams like BYU Cougars and Washington St.

Pictured right is the 'Elephant' brim design, as featured on a Washington Huskies Animal Style snapback. There is another brim design called 'Cement' that can be confused with this. Compare the Texas Animal Style (Cement) snapback with the Alabama Animal Style (Elephant). I think there may have been an issue with the labeling/naming when these hats were made.







Left, the brim design called 'Aloha' as seen on a Miami Hurricanes snapback hat. The whole brim brings to mind the Hawaiian feel with it's aloha-leaves! This next brim design is called the 'Shark,' because of its resemblance of a shark-fin or shark-teeth, possibly even the waves in an ocean. It may not go as well with teams like Nebraska or Miami, but it is definitely fitting for the San Jose Sharks, and blends well with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.






The 'Feather' brim is a very eye-catching style with it 's precise feather design that is screen printed. Thisworks perfectly for teams like the Oregon Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, Kansas Jayhawks, Iowa Hawkeyes, or the Detroit Red Wings because their mascot is bird-related. This is one of the more detailed animal prints on the Animal Style snapbacks.





 Another great brim design is the 'Tiger,' which looks great on colleges like LSU, Auburn, Clemson, Grambling St., and Jackson St.. It can even go good with NHL teams like the Colorado Avalanche, which can be seen to the right.

Below, the 'Leopard' Animal Style brim; this is only featured on three colleges so far: Cal, North Carolina, and SDSU.

Zephyr Hats: Youngstown State Edition

Sorry I haven't posted in a LONG time, but I really needed to finish up the alphabet series I started back in May of 2012. I believe the only letter I haven't used is "Y," which is a hard letter to do, but I remembered Youngstown University! Check it out!

For those of you who may be lost, Youngstown State University is an urban research university located in Youngstown, Ohio, United States, and was founded in 1908. Zephyr's two hats they stock for Youngstown are the Animal Style snapback (pictured right), and the Equalizer snapback (see below). The Youngstown State Animal Style snapback has their Penguin mascot raise-embroidered on the front; there is an elephant/cement print on the red brim of the hat; the under-brim is grey, as pictured. The button of the hat has the elephant print, so as to match the brim. On the back of the hat, one can see the dual-colored snap, which is black and scarlet; also on the back is the raise-embroidered word "Penguins."

The Youngstown State Equalizer Snapback is a clean-looking hat due to the super-fine embroidery of the equalizer bars. Also raise-embroidered is the word "Penguins," which is placed underneath the equalizing logo. As one can see, the under-brim is the authentic green, and the snap in the back is the solid scarlet.
